De igual modo, muitos prelados e representantes das na\u00e7\u00f5es pediam o mesmo. Por fim, no transcurso do Jubileu Santo de 1950, o ent\u00e3o gloriosamente reinante Papa Pio XII inscreveu no elenco dos artigos da f\u00e9 a misteriosa Assun\u00e7\u00e3o da Virgem Maria, assinando a Constitui\u00e7\u00e3o Apost\u00f3lica <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vatican.va\/holy_father\/pius_xii\/apost_constitutions\/documents\/hf_p-xii_apc_19501101_munificentissimus-deus_po.html\"><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Munificentissimus Deus<\/span><\/a> (O generoso Deus).<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/_LTO5Qx1HyJc\/TNALOnPPZjI\/AAAAAAAABaU\/fmXTXnhYa-w\/s1600\/Dormi%C3%A7%C3%A3o+Virgem+Maria.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 459px; height: 275px;\" src=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/_LTO5Qx1HyJc\/TNALOnPPZjI\/AAAAAAAABaU\/fmXTXnhYa-w\/s400\/Dormi%C3%A7%C3%A3o+Virgem+Maria.jpg\" alt=\"\" id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5534936287717320242\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><span style=\"font-size:85%;\"><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Dormi\u00e7\u00e3o da Virgem Maria<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:verdana;\"><br \/>\u00c9 importante salientar que o texto do dogma, sobre como a Virgem foi chamada por Deus, limita-se a dizer que &#8220;terminado o curso da vida terrestre, foi assunta em corpo e alma \u00e0 gl\u00f3ria celestial&#8221; (<span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Munificentissimus Deus<\/span> n. 44). O texto n\u00e3o diz se a M\u00e3e de Deus expirou ou se &#8220;dormiu&#8221; &#8211; de onde veio o antigo termo, e ainda hoje usado no Oriente, &#8220;dormi\u00e7\u00e3o. H\u00e1 diverg\u00eancias entre os te\u00f3logos, onde uma corrente afirma a primeira possibilidade, e outra, a segunda. Esta \u00faltima \u00e9 explicada mediante a premissa que, imune ao pecado original, a M\u00e3e de Deus apenas dormira e n\u00e3o conhecera a morte. Quanto \u00e0 primeira, os te\u00f3logos confirmam mais ainda para associar a morte da M\u00e3e \u00e0 do Filho.
